Hit the reset button

Have you ever gone through a time in your life where time is just passing by and things feel kind of unremarkable. For me, this time is usually accompanied by poor eating habits, lots of spending, tv watching and a lack of exercise. It's as if that zest for life I carry with me all the time is on vacation. When I start to feel things are out of wack I know it's time to hit the reset button. For me the reset button puts my back in my spiritual life journey. It's incredible how the minute you make a concious decision to life the best life your going to live, right now, everything just falls into place. I'm beginning to lose the couple pounds I put on, my skin is clearing up, I feel more in touch with God...this is the way life is supposed to be.

Maybe its time for you to use your reset button. If you ever find yourself thinking you current circumstances are the way you will live the rest of your life just because that's the way things have been so far, or beacause its the way you were raised or the way your mother or father are - just hit the reset button and change it. For example, if you come from an overweight family, do not take ownership of that quality. Take action and change it. We can change anything with the help of God. Now is the time to live the life you've always dreamed of. There is no reason why today cannot be the re-birth of your new life.

Keep your reset button handy and improve your life everyday!

God bless!

Start of a great week

Yesterday was Palm Sunday, the first day of Holy Week. I can hardly imagine how quickly lent has passed us by. I wrote out an entire list of things I wanted to do during the Lenten season - unfortunately I put that list to shame. I was able to completely give up wedding planning though, that in itself is huge for me. Anyway, since I know God is forgiving, I'm sure he will be happy if I implement that list during Holy Week. That means I will have one of the most productive, healthy, positive, spiritual and fulfilling weeks of my life. You may be wondering, "how are you gonna do that?", well I'm going to begin by elimination. That's right, for one week there will be no facebook, TV, blogs (except my own of course), shopping or eating in my regimen. Did she just say no eating??? That's right, I will be fasting...Jesus did it for 40 days didn't he? I'll be doing the Master Cleanse. I've attempted it before and it's freaking amazing how clear your mind becomes - it also doesn't hurt that clear skin and weight loss are also a benefit.

This week I am living for a higher being. I want to live as Jesus would. It'll be as if I am getting a grade at the end of the week. I'll strive to be extra kind, extra generous and pour out love to everyone I can. It's time to wear your heart on your sleeve. Greet everyone with a smile, sing aloud in the shower, turn off that car radio and sing a little prayer, put down that fatty burger and fries and pick up some veggie sticks, make yourself look and feel a little more special with a new hair do. If we all lived our finest day for just one day, imagine what a better place this would be.

HAPPY DAY EVERYONE!!!
